RF50mm F1.8 STM
The popular lens that has been a best-seller for many years is finally available in RF mount. The angle of view of the standard 50mm single focal length lens is said to be close to the field of view seen by the eye, allowing for natural composition. It can be used in a wide range of shooting situations such as snapshots, portraits, landscapes, and food photography.

The large aperture of F1.8 allows you to enjoy the large bokeh effect, while the compact and lightweight design offers excellent mobility and portability.

A single focal length lens produces a blur more easily than a zoom lens.

It is possible to take pictures with a soft, large blur in the foreground or background, bringing out the person in the foreground or background and giving the picture a three-dimensional feel. In addition to the large bokeh effect, f/1.8 lenses also allow you to take pictures at faster shutter speeds to reduce subject blur and camera shake, and at lower ISO sensitivities.

When attached to an EOS R5/R6 camera equipped with an in-body image stabilization function, the RF50mm F1.8 STM, which is not equipped with IS, can be used for high-precision 5-axis image stabilization shooting. 7.0 stops* of CIPA standard image stabilization can be achieved, so even in dark scenes such as night scenes and indoors, you can take beautiful handheld pictures without raising the ISO sensitivity too high. This allows you to shoot beautifully with the camera in your hand without raising the ISO sensitivity too high.

■Ideal for photographing food and accessories
The minimum focusing distance is even shorter than that of the EF50mm F1.8 STM, supporting quarter-macro photography with a maximum magnification of 0.25x.
Together with the characteristics of a standard lens that does not exaggerate perspective and is close to what you see, it is effective for food, sweets, small objects, and product photography.
